Come on now...how many smoky restaurants are there these days? The restaurants left that allow smoking still don't care about you bringing your kid in there, so don't go. The owner might not have opened his restaurant to feed your snotty nosed kid, so go elsewhere and let the restaurant do its own thing.

you're missing my point. im GLAD restaurants are non smoking now. when i was her age every table at every restaurant had people smoking away. now you know that's not right, and kids who dont have a choice dont deserve that.

Your missing our point. This is no longer a problem and more needless regulation is a BAD thing.

This gets at the heart of what the anti-smoking crusaders, trans-fat banners and Parental Advisory champions of the world are looking to do. Subject the rest of society to their purist worldview. In the end, they're just another group who feels entitled. Morally outraged Boomers with nothing better to do. Pretty pathetic.

Are you saying that tanning beds produce no radiation or that they are not widely available legally? That was just the first of many examples.

This is regulating the public, not business owners IMO.

How? It makes it illegal for the public to do something in a public place.

It makes it illegal for a business owner to operate a smoking friendly establishment.

Well that's a different law. That's not what this is about. It's being sold as a workforce issue.
