I love the no smoking rule as much as anyone, but I do absolutely HATE that I can never enjoy a patio on a pretty because that's where all the chain smokers are hiding.

Yes and New Orleans is unique in that the majority from revenue from most bars come from Video Poker machines. That revenue is about to go WAY down.

Not true. By the law you can't be within 20 feet of a restaurant door. A patio is still considered the restaurant and within 20 feet of an entrance. There will be no smoking.

Pretty sure patios are now exempt and the distance requirement is also gone. There were a bunch of amendments.

Now I will get sick from 2nd hand smoke walking down magazine st. For someone who doesn't go in these nasty arse bars this news sucks.
