Lots of places under renovation. It's a weekend that's hard to staff front of house workers, so they just close.

GO uptown or the lakefront...or possible the north shore...anything really but the FQ....
SOME resturant close to give there workers a chance to be with their families...others are just tired of all the problems associated with the bayou classic
I just leave town Thursday night and either go saltwater fishing or go visit friends and family in baton rouge

Not really fancy but Warbucks on magazine has been exceptional the two times I’ve been so far. Quite possibly, my new favorite burger in Nola.

We ordered to-go from the bar at Parkway and had a picnic at The Fly.
We did do dinner in the quarter at the Gumbo Shop. There was a wait, but it wasn’t terrible, the service and food were fantastic, and we tipped well,
