Or just pay a latin american $10 an hour to wait in line for you.

Waiting is for peasants

I waited once. Was probably there at 7:15 am and was out of there 1ish I think

I have kind of reached a point where I don't love fattier meat. Something happened to my body but it kind of rejects it. I like the leaner cut of brisket more these days, so I don't ever need to go back. No one else wants the lean

Haven't eaten at Franklin BBQ. I have eaten at la Barbecue, City Market Luling, Lockhart (Kreuz, Black's, and Smittys). They are all neat BBQ joints. I'm hoping to make a trip to Snow's (open only on Saturdays) and Louie Mueller's in Taylor soon.

I have tons of respect for Aaron Franklin but it's hard for me to imagine his brisket being that much better if at all than la Barbecue's.

If you're in Austin I wouldn't leave to go to Luling/Lockhart but all are fantastic. Just typing this gets me craving some BBQ.

You could watch episodes of Aaron Franklin's pbs tv show while you wait.

I liked Dining on a Dime's Lucas Peterson at Snow's BBQ LINK

Franklins has banned line waiters. Folks probably get around it, but that's the deal. LINK

I love brisket and would love to try Franklin's, but I would not wait in a multi-hour line if they promised a free blowjob from Miss America came with the BBQ.

Smitty's has the best fatty brisket I have ever eaten. J Muellers is very good as well.

Black's serves the best beef ribs.

And I personally don't like any of the smoked sausages at the majority of the BBQ joints.

How dense are you? You pay the line waiter to wait in line, order your food and deliver it to you. It's not difficult.

Eh my little bro graduated from Texas the day before, and I was on vacay. I ran and grabbed some breakfast tacos and we hung out with some people.

It was a 1 time thing

don't wait in line...go to Mueller or drive to Lockhart and visit Black's, Kreuz, and Smittys

we really like Black's..but on some days Kreuz is better...not a smitty's fan, but might as well try it as they are all in the same town

I've had Blacks and Kreutz in Lockhart and loved Blacks. Brisket was moist and had the right amount of fat. Kreutz on the other had was not good and dried out. Maybe I went on a bad day but I don't get what all the fuss is.
