this dude wants some sauce for his beignet. really?
Posted on 6/26/12 at 10:01 pm to TigerWise
Good for her for sure. Other guy outcooked her though.

I agree. way to heavy. but you still don't get sauce with beignets

Well since it wasn't really a nice light fluffy beignet, I could see a sauce helping it out.

I'm glad Linda won. I also liked the guy from parkway

Can anyone say fix? I know the editing can be deceiving but the guy from Palace outcooked her by far. When the women were wiping away tears at the end I knew he never had a fair shot.

I'm with you on this. I've watched the show since the beginning and usually the chefs are from restaurants or catering services. But a booth vendor and a sandwich shop? I didnt know Parkway had a "chef."

Watched it last night all the way to right before the last round was judged. Im not surprised she won given who she is and how bad the show was as a whole. It was obvious the guy from the Palace Cafe was the better of the two.
And how long are people going to use this Katrina sympathy shite? Give it up already. Im hoping for their sake that the producers of the show made them say Katrina stuff. Its really getting old.

I thought it was one of the lamest Chopped episodes ever.
And I will defend NOLA to the death but that was a embarassment. She's a great lady but that was far from a solid representation of NOLA
just my two cents, which is all I would have paid for that disgusting fried catfish on bread with figs and chard

I agree that it was not a very good episode, but I also thought the basket ingredients were lame which surprised me. I don't have a problem with the chef choices, though. They were pretty much in line with some other Chopped shows. They don't usually get big named chefs that I've seen, though I don't watch every single episode.
