Their skirt steak is the best meal in Ponchatoula. No sauce slathered.

How is Murphy’s these days? Grew up going there and remember the fried seafood being delicious. Onion rings too! Looks like it’s still in the family.

Maybe the best burger ive ever had at One Thirteen.

I used to tell people to get the burger when they went. But the last time I went it was not the same in a bad way. All the other food at one thirteen has always been very underwhelming in my opinion.

hasn't been good since they left downtown...

AD has gone out on a limb lately too to oddly enough embrace diversity in kids and make fun of it in adults

B&J Seafood in Hammond is a good lunch spot.

Nola Mia in Ponchatoula is good as well.

B&J is very good and I will eat there for lunch often. I don't typically don't suggest it when people ask from out of town ask for lunch spots because of their setup. Ryan's Deli same thing

But yeah the place is very good.

B&Js is pretty good but there set up is pretty bad. There’s a lot of ladies standing behind the counter doing absolutely nothing while I wait for 30 minutes on a poboy

exactly I would not send anybody for the first time either to B&Js or Ryan’s. You gotta bring someone there first and show them how to do it

B&Js?
go inside and head to the left side dining room. Make eye contact with one of the servers…point at an empty table and make sure it’s ok to claim it. Once she sees you are dining in she will be there to take your order. There’s menus on the tables, be ready when she gets there.

Food will be brought out at some point

It’s worth it, just don’t go on Fridays or Saturdays

Ok but I’ve never eaten inside. I always get my lunch to go and it just seems to be chaotic

This is the best piece of advice here because they stay super busy and will definitely not see you if you just go sit down and wait for them to come to you.

I met some friends from out of town there a while back and they were ready to get up and leave after about 10 minutes of waiting. I said trust me, it's worth the wait.
They all left full, satisfied and with huge to go boxes.
