True. There are too many homebodies on this board. If it is "from" La, it can't possibly fail...yeah right. Popeyes has become an unfast fast food restaurant. It's chicken and biscuits have continually fallen over the past decade. Most gas station fried chicken could possibly beat Popeye's in a taste competition.

If I had to choose between the two, I would rather live like this versus eating bland CFA food. Compared to Popeye's, their food taste like rice cakes....no taste at all.

but you are on a Food Board, so there will be more focus on the actual food. There are less food ignorant people on this board than on the OT, or in a general survey of chain loving america. Chick Fil-A is just boring as all hell and would surely win a similar poll on the OT, despite it being largely Lousiana people.

I can't believe anyone prefers chick-fil-a over popeyes unless you're just pissed because of poor service. What self-respecting la native doesn't prefer cajun spiced chicken & red beans to an arguably tasty..but dull..CFA sandwich?
ETA not all of us live in the heart of south la right now and we're doing good to get any cajun spice where we live..popeye's red beans has sated my craving many many times in the bland world of nashville food

Canes was crushed because of the regionalism. The fact that most people keep saying "oh, there portions are getting smaller as the price goes up" is based off of the fact that they used to get a cane's meal for $5 when they were in college. That and the fact that people in BR are probably burned out on Cane's more than any other restaurant is a serious hindrance to Canes.
There isn't that much hate for Canes in the real world. just on this particular board.
and I love the whole "food ignorant" argument. we really have some people that think of this food board as a great place to get opinions don't we?
