Dean, are you n LA permanently, or just visiting? Meant to ask on Saturday, but got distracted...

He would not have been in such good spirits if he was here permanently.

What were your thoughts on Rougarou vs. Hoptagon?

IMO, the Rougarou was disappointing. It tasted great on the front end, but just completely fell apart on the back end. They need to tweak it. But, it's probably TR's best beer.

Hoptagon is a thing of beauty. I was surprised at the citrus aroma it had. And the bright hops in a roasty beer was very unexpected. I really like this one, which is why i've bought a few more. But at $12, it's tough on the wallet.

Yeah. Alexander's had a full line of mikkeller beer geek, including weasel. New labels. It was 6.99/ 12 oz. botttle.

they also had beer geek brunch vanilla bacon. I'm curious how that one is.

I think Hoptagon is the clear winner out of the two. Have a Hoptagon on deck so in a couple hours I will be able to make a better judgement. Hoptagon just seems more robust.

I would say the Parade Ground Porter is a little above Rougarou in TR's lineup.

This is true, and I can go for a cheese steak. May hit up Stein's first to grab a sandwich and if there is a limit on the pumpkinators, I'll stop at WF as well. Plus Stein's will probably be a dollar or two more expensive. What was the price on the Hoptagon at WF? I saw it was $8 for the pumpkin which is reasonable.

had a philly cheesesteak for lunch and grabbed my (limit of) 2 Pumpkinators. They're charging $8 a pop for them.

in other news, the 5 Merkins I ordered for myself and bbrou got cancelled.

Thanks for the heads up R2R

Sucks about the Merkins, you would think they would close the sale if they couldn't fufill all those orders.

No worries mate. I'm a professional. And if man can't tip home from work on a gravel road enjoying a Coors and posting on the interweb whilst traveling unrestrained at 30 mph than frick this place.

Paging Wiltz, Tower in ATL tweeted earlier that they received some Jai Alai... have you heard rumors about them re-expanding to GA? I know of two other stores getting shipments today and tomorrow...

Yep, probably legit. The added capacity is kicking in and I expect the core brews to find their way out of State and possibly some seasonal offerings. Doubt you'll see the one-off stuff but who knows?

I'd expect limits per person... I understand Philly is getting some too...
