Went to the Sneak Peek last night and good God that place is gorgeous. You can tell that there was a good bit of SoPro money and experience behind opening this one up. Super low key atmosphere that feels elevated, but not really pretentious. Got space inside and out for quite a lot of people and the beer is outta sight from Day -2. The 90’s-arse Sheets 12% IPA was by far the best TIPA I’ve ever had — smooth, tropical, and not a bit cloying or boozy. Phenomenal. They had a Sour IPA with about 5 different hops, Lactose, Lime, Tahitian Vanilla, and Plum that was insanely good. And the Pina Colada Berliner was a less sweet, more crushable Holly Beach, which imo, made it better. A Mexican Lager and West Coast IPA called “NOBODI CAREZ” rounded out the remainder of the list less the best beer of them all: a 6.8% Hazeboi IPA with Oats, Wheat, and Lactose hopped with Nelson, Motueka, and Kohatu called “Bird Sauce” that was absolutely stellar. Smooth, but crushable. Tropical hops, but absolutely not bitter. I left incredibly impressed and jealous I am not opening a brewery this nice ASAP. It’s going to be a NOLA staple very quickly.

My unprofessional opinion, Nobodi Carez!!! was the best beer on the menu. It was not a West Coast IPA. Sour IPA probably the best I've had in NOLA, which doesn't seem like high praise, and it isn't, but I think it's a solid iteration of the style. It's not Hudson Valley, but what is? Bird Sauce was my second favorite IPA on the menu, probably my third favorite overall.

I'd say they could do with a touch less lactose, but what do I know?

Overall I'd say they are going to climb to the top of the heap of NOLA breweries relatively quickly. Parleaux currently is on top in my opinion, and I think that once Mitch gets it together at ZM and gets used to brewing on that scale he will be competitive as well. That's a top-3 that can compete in most places. Good time to be around NOLA beer.

FWIW, I'm drinking a Job Money as my third-ish BD. It's thin.

I will get real time pics when I get to the house and pour another up.

There's doing the release at craft and growler with all the great raft and celestial peeps, but I'm too tired and lazy. I'll grab some tomorrow.
