Coater - Give the Mrs my condolences. Hard to beat having your grandmother around until she's 96, though. None of my kids knew any of my grandparents, so that is special that they knew her and vice versa.

FBD - Georgetown's June IPA. Solid. I'm starting to find that Some of these hazy IPAs are very drinkable, but don't have a ton of character or complexity.

Bad traditional IPAs are often overly bitter and hard to drink. The hazy IPAs seem to be more drinkable, but lack flavor, IMO.

That sure as frick isn't the case here. God damn god damn. This is a damn good beer.

ETA: Gave the guy that buys for the beer store around the corner two bottles of Bloom yesterday. He raved about how pillowy soft it was for a solid five minutes

I mean. It's a very good beer.

I didn't meant to say that the hazy beers are not good. The great ones are great, and the Parish beers are great. I'm just saying that a lot of average hazy beers get overhyped, when their best attribute is that they are mild and easy drinking. I think people try them, like the looks of them, and because they are quaffable, they score them a 96 our of 100.

I don't disagree with that. Even Abita is doing an experimental NEIPA and the reviews say cloudy and a bit of juice but not complex. Yeah I know, Abita but they do have a infrastructure to do whatever the hell they want but still a fail on this one.

NBD is a collab between ABV Pub and Wild Ride Brewing out of Redmond Oregon. Good, but not great. Those jerk shanks, doe...
