I was just telling someone that the other day but we both agreed that JK is still lacking the refinement of RR.

The Ru55 barrel aged sour is fantastic. It is already in bottles and will be shipping soon.

I can't wait to add this one to my collection of JK sours.

I dont get the hype on Jester King. Not hating just dont think they are close to be in RR class. They do have unique labeling though

Yes, Sue is great, this porter is not quite as good, but ok.

NBD is a New Belgium Imperial Coffee Stout. Really good.

I wish I had more. I got three the other night through the BXN, gave one away and drank one. Just one left.

JK has only been around for 2 years. And they are doing some cool things with wild yeast harvested in the hill country. One of the owners who gave the tour today said his favorite brewer is Cantillion. So the farmhouse/ sour thing is what they are going to be doing. They are not going to put out much straight stuff like a normal IPA or amber. so that will limit their appeal. and their operation is still very, very small. They have some sours in barrels that fruit has been added to aka a kriek which I look forward too.

SBD - Sierra Nevada Torpedo - fresh off the truck, this obviously isn't hard to find but it is always nice to get something as fresh as possible
