I haven't had that one, but based upon the strength of the other Firestone Walker brews I've had it would be one of the first I tried.

Firestone Walker Double Barrel

FW is one of those breweries where I'm yet to have a bad beer.

They have Firestone Walker Double Barrel Ale here, do I need to try that?

If it's Double Double Barrel Ale, then yes. If it's the standard Double Barrel Ale, then I would order it only if there was nothing else interesting on the menu. The DBA is kind of meh, in my opinion. The DDBA is a nice barley wine.

It is just DBA. Should I get it or the Saint Arnolds 20th Anniversary or the Devils Backbone. Literally those are the only interesting ones left.

Not a bad beer but doubt I'll buy another 6-pack.

Haven't had either, so I can't help much, but I know that DBA is my least favorite FW beers that I've tried. I may just have weird taste buds, but I wouldn't reccomend the DBA. Anybody else want to chime in?

Anyone know a place in downtown Fort Worth or south that has a good beer selection and food?

2BD - Went with the double Barrel Ale from Firestone

Good not great, but this is not really my style ale. Its nice and oaky. Prob pretty good under most circumstances just not my favorite style. I dont regret ordering it.

I enjoyed this one less. I know it's supposed to be the same recipe. I feel what I feel.

2BD

This one is apparently pretty fresh. Outstanding.

Sometimes a beer just suffers by comparison. We are all so used to Firestone Walker putting out great beers, that when we taste on that is just OK, we're kind of shocked and put off...

10 beers in 5ish hours. No wonder your pictures are getting blurry. I hope you have a Driver.

I bet he's asleep. That's what he does. Drinks 8000 beers before like 2 p.m., passes out, then rallies.

We all have our niche.

SBD was the Farmhouse from Bayou Teche. Coteau Rodaire.

The quality of Bayou Teche's beers are quickly catching up with their willingness to branch out into things other local brewers aren't doing.
