Looks nice.
It's a combo... offset charcoal/wood smoker/grill on the left, gas grill and burner on the right. We'll see how it goes.

FBD is a Daredevil Lift Off IPA. Been a busy couple of days. Went out to find a house to rent. Bought one instead. They are so cheap here, the wife wanted to buy 2.

I used to be able to find great beer at the grocery store. It would find me. Now, I gotta look and I struggle to find it.

The grocery stores here have dogshit beer selection other than Whole Foods. Total Wine knocks it out of the park though.
5BD: Bearded Iris Hotline
Bonus chicken and sausage about to hit the smoker.

I miss having a taproom in the grocery store.

Two of the Krogers nearby have bars inside... but nothing exciting on tap.

FBD is the Capital IPA [b]y Natchez. Always considered them to be subpar given the beers I had tasted the past couple years. Figured I’d give this bright, hazy single I saw at Acquistopace Mandeville a try and see where they’re at.
Appearance is beautiful and the primary reason I decided to give this a try. Bright and hazy — the best combo in a modern IPA. The side of the bottle states this is a cross between West Coast and New England IPA’s. With low to moderate bitterness. Check. And “bursting” with hop flavor and aroma. Whoa there, hombre! The aroma is ENTIRELY grain dominant. Smells very much like an old hoppy beer that’s lost it’s luster. The first taste on the palate is shockingly acidic. Not terribly so, but noticably, and definitely NOT per either style. Now this is something I think has and will continue to pervade the NEIPA world, but this particular case reads more like lactic or citric acids added to finished beer that’s been oddly salted on the Burton Salts. Very bizarre. There’s more hop character on the palate than the nose, but it’s fairly hidden amongst the acidity and stale malt character. Looks may be deceiving is all I can say. A very different IPA that I would categorize as a failed NEIPA that is nothing like a West Coast IPA. At least it’s pretty, I guess?

Yes Gary. Let's see some pics of the smoking meats. If the offset smoking side is wood/charcoal fired, how do you control the temp? I guess for short time smoking stuff like chicken and sausage it wouldn't be a problem.
3BD is a Ghost.

this one is good. The only other one I’ve had from them that I really liked was truck stop honey.
