I've not done that yet, but I did have ribs served once with bourbon barrel aged maple syrup. Very tasty..

This rub has a pretty large amount of brown sugar in it. I don't know that I want to add much more sweetness..

I had to go back and check to make sure. Much better than yesterday's groundbreaking gif. The bubbles in the bottle are a nice touch.

i like rib bark

i typically add last coats of sauce and then broil my ribs to give that last bark layer
