People took advantage and now they want real proof. I know some people who got over $100 and a GI tshirt and only had 2 or 3 bottles. I don't agree with that, but I can see how they cut it off.

I think they should have done this from the beginning. I like the label and photo method. It is a shame people would take advantage.

2BD that a Ballast Point rep at the bar was a nice enough guy to buy it for me when I ordered. The world needs more good people like this.

I guess the neck beards really wanted to stick it to InBev. It's a little funny that they didn't see it coming.

I wish I would have sent my bottle but I didn't open it until too late. Of course it was a barleywine and they are not offering refunds on that now.

Abita - looks great. It looks like it is not too crowded. That is my biggest pet peeve about beer festivals. They are too crowded and the lines are too long. I hate not being able to get a 4 oz sample because the line was so long that I feel like I need to get a 16 oz beer and go get into the next line. I love the summer festivals that are outdoors and in a more relaxed atmosphere.

I'll be going to the Oregon Brewers Festival next weekend. I enjoy that one because it's right on the Willamette River with a perfect view of Mt Hood and they will be serving lots of summer beer one-offs. So I'll be drinking a lot of beer I've never heard of before...

That one has a special place in my heart. 2004 we wandered in to the fest and it changed my life. Popped my cherry on craft beer.

So will the infection get worse over time? If you have those dates should you just try to drink them now? If so I am going to be freaking hammered.

They did a great job of crowd control here. There's 4 time frames (Fri day/night or Sat day/night) and they limit the number of available tickets for each. I've yet to wait more than a few minutes for a beer.

Well when you open them you probably won't be drinking. I mean mine was so bad I could smell it as soon as I popped the top, I ended up pouring it out after 2 sips.

Sorry I'm working on it. My signal is pretty shitty out here. Only complaint I have though.

Was it at the Waterfront Park back then? Love that location.
