I know you say this half joking, but the first batches of ghost were made before the haze craze. There definitely wasn't anything like it around the south.

People had been chasing Alchemist trucks across Vermont for trades for several years. Hill Farmstead was already the darling of the craft beer world.

I'll give you that, though the first couple batches were not brown water juice bombs. They weren't clear, but they weren't opaque. I still say batch #2 is the best batch I've ever had, and it was bitter and boozy and hoppy. I also think I paid $5 or $10 for a growler of it on cheap growler fill days at the brewery.
