I'll give you that, though the first couple batches were not brown water juice bombs. They weren't clear, but they weren't opaque.
Batch 4 was the first one that looked like straight up juice, as I remember. Batch 5 was clearer and Batch 6 was back to juice, as it remained until the "yeast change" thing.
4BD is another DDH Envie

I know that's tongue in cheek, but I'll still bite.
Parish makes awesome beer. There is no doubt about that. So the guys at Parish had some juice and they liked it and they wanted to make it. Awesome. No shame in that. I do that for my homebrews, albeit not as well as. For him to say they did something radical is an exaggeration and almost a lie. The market was there. Haze craze was already in full swing and being exported from Vermont across the country. "Juicy" and "hazy" and were already part of the American craft beer lexicon before Parish started brewing Ghost on their pilot system.

FBD. This is fresh and much better than the first batch I tried

You make great points, but I don't know if I would say it was in full swing. Tree house was little known and only 2 years old when ghost first came out. I consider them to be the forefront of NEIPAs. Even though HF and alchemist were making hazy beers, they weren't really juicy.
I do believe it is possible that Andrew wasn't really aware of the scene in New England.

NBD - Citra arse Down. Decided to get a non-draft beer for a change. Solid DIPA. Not great IMO, but pretty crushable for 8.2%.

I haven't even tried all the juice bombs coming out of Louisiana. The choices you have now are way better than what you had even a year ago. Louisiana is the juicy IPA capital of the South. How ridiculous would that have sounded for me to make that statement 3, 2, or 1 year ago?
Portland has had some resistance to making hazy beers and was behind the curve. That's changing, and I suspect that in the next year, we'll have more quality hazy beers than most places because of the quality of the brewers here. Most breweries have already started dipping their toe in that water, and some are already all in.
Having said that, is there an opportunity for someone to brew a great regular IPA down there? I mean, if Andrew took that last batch of Ghost before he changed the yeast? That was an excellent beer, and I'd drink that any day of the week.

Still trying to figure out this beer.

Ghost was inspired 100% by Heady Topper. It was Andrew's favorite beer at the time started tinkering with a DIPA. He had several test batches (he called X project or something if I recall) at the brewery before he dialed in Ghost to be in the line of Heady.

The whole inspiration was people bringing shite like that in the taproom. People were bringing stuff like Heady, Lawson's, Hill, etc. all the time. His favorite DIPA used to be Avery Maharaja. Early batches of the DIPA, when it was called L'Autre Femme, tasted more balanced and not juicy.
It is a joke for him to act like they figured out something groundbreaking.

Funny stuff, bringing Parish Bloom, Envie, Ghost, Opus were the inspiration for Copperhead to make Feeding Frenzy.

I had it for the first time last night, and I must say, I enjoyed it much more than I expected to.
It's certainly some palatal chicanery, but it works surprisingly well.

And it is the reason other LA breweries have been trying to step up their hoppy game.
