If you go to tourist bars in the center.....which is about all the center has, then yea. The center/Dam area is like the FQ. But Wildeman is in the Dam and is great. t' Arendsnest is on Herengracht(canal) and is awesome. You won't have heard of any of the stuff they have. And if you want to buy some bottles of cantillion or westy to bring home, go to Beer Temple. They had Envie there in July.

It was behind the counter and I asked how much it cost.....he answered 5 euros.....but I got euro-tude so I didnt want to ask the date on the bottle.

FBD was a Cahaba session IPA...the darkest IPA thine eyes have ever seent. Wasn't great, but not awful. Tasted like some kind of hybrid beer.
