beer scene is pretty bland

dumb....go to Wildeman, t' Arensnest (all dutch beers), Cafe Spuyt, Gollem, Butcher's Tears and Troost. You're not gonna find a lot of great IPAs, but stouts, bretts, farmhouses and then there is Cantillion, Beersel and Westvleteren 12.....Wildemnan is the best bet for Cantillion. Gollem (3 locations I usually go to the Overtoom and Pijp locations)and Spuyt usually have Westy and sometimes Cantillion.

Brouwerij 't IJ is a good brewery. You can take an uber to the brewery and drink there if you're interested, it's right next to a big windmill. We had a good time there, and it's a good place to hang out with locals.

Their beers are pretty average....the windmill is cool but its usually jammed with tourists these days. Walking distance from there is Amsterdam Roest is is right up your EDM alley....its a chill outdoor place during the day but jams at night. Troost is a better brewery.

FBD is at the new neighborhood brewpub, Great Heights. Been excited for these dudes to open. Soft open today with only 2 beers, but it's only 5 mins from home so why not.

Great Heights Amber. Pretty nice beer. Hop forward for an amber, which I dig. 53 IBUs FWIW, and super fresh.

NEIPA is next...

Flash Flood at WFPO. 7.3% single IPA. Drinking great, not sure when they put it on:
That's a new one. Been keeping my eye out for Detonate, the best WF IPA ever. It'll be under a different name though.

NBD is their Fruity Pellets NEIPA. This is very good. The nose is stupid good. Super smooth and great hop flavors. My critique would be a slightly thicker? Maybe creamier mouthfeel.
Whatever. It's very good and super local.

The amber is 53 IBUs and the NEIPA is 15. Ahhh gotta love the new school of thought in craft beer these days.
