You guys were very kind to share some of the spoils. Beer mavens are more generous than bourbon snobs.
I guess all my whining at Jax paid some nice dividends. Some really awesome beers, so I felt compelled to reach to the back of the fridge to reward ru for the delivery. I had a potential maven in the making over and she was amazed at (a) what awesome beers we drink; and (b) that we meet random dudes in parking lots and car backseats to trade said beers.

It really is quite a disturbing thought to an outsider.
1st time I told my wife I was meeting up with someone to trade some brews (it was actually 4miles) she was like "aren't you afraid you might get murdered or something?"

Mrs. Eagle and I had a similar conversation when the BXN arrived from Ham.
1st question was "Who's that from?" after about 10 min on explaining, her last comment was "You're an idiot"

At first the wife made me bring firearms to each beer trade. I had to explain that it is a hell of a long con to join and participate in a message board for years on end only to rob me for $18 in beer.....and in one case herbs.
