I was trying to be... I'll drink Abita if it's the best option and I've liked some of their selects, but this one was not good. It was also on cask and completely flat, so that's a huge negative.

Same here. Thankfully it is rarely the best option these days. The people that refuse to accept that Abita is average at best amaze me.

They probably also drink a lot of BMC so Abita is a step up to them instead of a step down from a steady diet of Bell's Two Hearted, Brooklyn BCS, and Mikkeller Hop Burn Lo.

I'm not sure I'm much of a mild in a cask "real ale" kind of guy. Much less an Abita mild kind of guy.

Hell there's no reason the 17th largest craft beer company can't put out things like....

Even if it was just for Baton Rouge Nola Covington. Put something so good out that I want to drive to Abita and have a release party..
