Agree--that looks like a tasty marinade/sauce.

I actually made salt and pepper shrimp for the first time last night and it turned out awesome. I love it at Asian restaurants but never made it myself. It's very easy with good results.

Shrimp tacos

I make blackened shrimp soft tacos at least once a month. I like to use the Mission tomato basil tortillas and the wife likes to stop at the local Mexican joint and pick up chips, salsa and sometimes pico if I don't feel like making it.

We do a shrimp, sun dried tomatoes, and homemade pesto over angel hair fairly often.

Not that it’s particularly unusual, but we love it.

teaching my son how to cook, we did this the other night...it was damn good. he's a novice, so i'm keeping it simple...and this is about as simple as it gets.

2 lbs. shell-on 12-15 count shrimp
10 cloves of garlic
2 tsp curry powder
1/4 cup mango chutney
2 limes, halved
handful of cilantro, chopped
salt and pepper to taste

peel, devein shrimp...i left the heads on because...well, you know why. slice garlic thinly, fry in 2 tsps olive oil, set aside. stir curry powder into oil for 30 seconds, add shrimp and saute' for 3 or so mins., add mango chutney to shrimp and toss for 30 or so seconds. plate shrimp, add S&P, sprinkle fried garlic and cilantro over the top, and squeeze lime over the top.

sweet, salty, sour, spicy, shrimpy...shite was legit.

Shrimp curry is very good and simple with a curry mix or paste.

Make curried shrimp tacos in naan bread with mango slaw and yogurt sauce.

2/3 cup chopped cucumber
2/3 cup chopped peeled mango
1/3 cup chopped red onion
1/2 serrano pepper, seeded and sliced
3 tablespoons lime juice, divided
1/4 teaspoon salt, divided
1/8 teaspoon pepper, divided
1/3 cup fat-free plain Greek yogurt
1/2 teaspoon minced fresh gingerroot
1/8 teaspoon curry powder

In a small bowl, combine the cucumber, mango, red onion, serrano pepper, 2 tablespoons lime juice, 1/8 teaspoon salt and dash of pepper. In another small bowl, combine the yogurt, ginger, curry powder, remaining lime juice, and remaining salt and pepper.

I just pooled from one of the many recipes online. They're all pretty much similar. Dredge the shrimp in corn starch or flour, fry in oil, then toss in a pan with garlic, salt, pepper, and chilies perhaps. One recipe I came across was adamant about toasting the salt and pepper which I did and it made a huge peppery difference.

I make them a lot too. When trying to shed some lbs, they’re ridiculously forgiving too. And you don’t feel like you’re eating “diet food”.

Shrimp lasagne with a homemade cream sauce.

I use lasagna noodles that I get from Eatly in NYC, make your cream sauce and use plenty of parmigiana and ricotta. Combine chopped shrimp with cream sauce and layer like you would if you were making one with a bolognese sauce.
