If you kill a hog, Cotten's in Shreveport makes some really good breakfast sausage. And you can get the entire pig made into sausage for $70.00

Other than that, I either eat Jimmy Dean or the Albertson's brand.

We quit buying breakfast sausage years ago. The wife read a few labels and decided it was full of unpronounceables. We make our own and know every thing in it. When Boston buttes go on sale we trim and cut a twin pack. off the top of my head 5 lbs of ground pork 5 tea spoons sage,5 ts of brown sugar, 1ts of pink curing salt 1/4 cup of cajun seasoning.
we usually make a 15 lb batch pack it in qt bags 1 lb per bag. Most of you foodies have a grinder its fun project and ya get a great product for far less money give it a try. We had some for breakfast this morning

Here we have What-a-burger brand breakfast sausage in the tube. It is excellent. Before that I was a Jimmy Dean guy - enjoyed the different flavors, but Sage was probably my fav.

I’ll eat almost any sage sausage.

I like the small links over the patty.

I love jimmy dean but lately I buy boston butts whenever they go on sale and make my own for a fraction of the cost.

Jimmy Dean regular here. My wife loves when I make biscuits and white gravy with sausage bits in it for breakfast.

Matter of fact, that is what's on the menu for this mornings breakfast once she wakes up.
