Was thinking a Macallan 12yr, Highland Park 12yr or a Bourbon?

Start off with Miller High Life during the day.
Move on to Wild Turkey later on.

Start off with an Old Fashion or 3 and then migrate to some neat Bourbon

It takes ~12hrs to smoke a brisket. I would start with a bloody, have 3 bud lights, a screwdriver, 5 IPAs then hit the bourbon. Old Fashions preferably. Mix in a little coke to sober you up if your feeling woozy

I am liking these ideas. I really enjoy bourbon the most (of course an old fashioned). Been on the single malt scotch lately though.

Idk about mixing a bloody and screwdriver with beer and bourbon though.

Thinking Buffalo Trace for the old fashioned and then moving on to a WL Weller/ Angels Envy neat? Or a scotch in the evening.

An Old Fashioned or two to get it started, probably switch to a gin and tonic on the weaker side for a few rounds to stay hydrated. Maybe mix in a good hazy IPA to readjust my palate, then switch it over to some smoky scotch, probably an Ardbeg 10 or maybe a Talisker 10.

Smoking a brisket can be boring. I would mix as many different types of alcohol as possible to keep it interesting. I'd start with about 5-6 10oz Coors Light cans, then go from there

This sounds like a solid plan. I have an Aviator Gin I could mix in and my brother in law has some IPAs.

I've been wanting to try the Talisker. Is it real Smokey though?

I have a ping pong table and could do beer pong as well. Not a huge beer guy but liking the strong IPAs or Bud light.

Seltzers are making a bit of a splash since they are 5% and stronger.

Ardbeg is smokier than Talisker... but both are going to be smoky compared to a highland or speyside malt.

Solid plan. I would skip the bloody and go straight to a couple of screwdrivers. But that is only to keep my reflux at bay. For some reason OJ doesn't give it to me, but any tomato product will. Then a couple of breakfast stouts or IPAs, then switch to a juicy/hazy IPA. Once noon hits, it is bourbon time.

Well if I'm starting the brisket around 4am or so to have ready for dinner time, I want coffee.

So something like a Founders Breakfast Stout, Santa Fe Java Stout or maybe a simple bourbon barrel stout to start.

From there, maybe another stout before IPAs, margaritas, water, Budweisers, etc.

If I'm taking in some glorious UV Rays in the backyard for a day it's usually some of that devil's lettuce + assorted beer from the garage (Miller Lights, Modelos, and some neck beard IPA).
