The yankee in me in a huge fan of a high quality bratwurst, grilled with onions and mustard on a warmed hearty roll along with a nice IPA or session ale. This is even better if you're grilling your brats in the parking lot of a stadium.

uhh correction here, that's not that "yankee" in you that's the german/polish in you. huge german/pole presence in the south and let me tell ya, there aint nothin "yankee" about brats and beer.

Then why is it so damn difficult to find good bratwurst down here in Georgia? I was born and raised in Chicagoland and good brats were ubiquitous, along with German and Polish folks. Down here? I just haven't seen it, man.

That said, the Publix house brats aren't bad and sure beat the hell out of the Johnsonville brand.

Anything spicy.

My two favorite things to eat with beer (aside from crawfish) are jambalaya and Indian food.

I actually don’t crave a particular food. But if you go by what I usually eat at a bar:

Chips- Twisted Root
pretzel- Flying Heart
Fried mozzarella sticks and Onion rings- the cub

It came to me the other day and just had to run it back up.

My all time favorite beer food is raw oysters. Hands down.

Maybe you are not going to the right places. Big fan of super spicy wings and nice grilled brats with sauerkraut and quality mustard with BEER. Patak's in Austell has good brats, haven't been in a few years, think they are only open to the public 2 days a week. There was a German meat shop on ATL Rd going to Marietta square, but I think they went commercial and quit selling there. The beer brats at Aldi's are pretty good, but heavy.

Brought back some applewood smoked brats from Neuske's in WI last month and some sausages and jerky from a specialty place in Bozeman, damn good. The jerky from Neuskes is upper tier.

Patak meats

Crawfish is number 1

Close behind would be pizza, burgers, and wings.
