thanks. Here's a spoon shot.

Personally I think I crushed this gumbo. The oysters ( and water) add a nice saltiness. I love the chicken livers (wife says not again) and they add a nice richness to the gumbo. The duck I roasted first and used the breast plates in the stock to add some duckiness. Big fan. Will do again, God willing I kill some ducks

NBD - Buoy Beer / ABV Kettle Demon. This is better than Super IPA. Its a one off that was brewed by Buoy out of Astoria using the recipe of the owner of this combination home brew shop/brewpub that I'm sitting in.

This is a good beer. I hope they do it again.

ETA: its the finish that makes this one better. Love it. Not too bitter, and not to sweet.

Congrats. I love that feeling. I don't really use a recipe, so each batch is a little different. Chicken and andouille is my go to. I've added shrimp before, but never oysters. Maybe next time.

Contemplating nextBD.

Going home. Paid my check. Two very nice imperial IPAs sent me back $7.45. Well worth it. The old man made Red Beans and Rice today. I think I'll mosey home and eat some...

I may specialize in steaks, but I make a mean Red Beans and Rice. However, I bow down to the old man in this department...

And this, too, will taste better tomorrow...

FBD - Toppling Goliath Zeelander IPA.

Single hop Nelson Sauvin. These guys crush it in the hoppy beer category.

Enjoy the times with him. We will be heading to Lafayette to stay with my Dad for the New Year's holiday. Boudin, beer and football.

NBD wasn't really feeling this one the first time I had it but I'm liking it tonight. Great nose and great finish.

Nice.

On the way to the pub I saw my old favorite beer store was open, so I went and made a charitable donation. Found this too. Geeking out.

Juicy with a soft finish. More of the northeast style than Lunch.

3BD Foothills Hoppy Medium Brown Ale

I probably like this more than I should. Nice hoppy initial taste, but that is soon overwhelmed by a very pronounced nuttiness. Solid backbone. Weird beer, but I like.
