Draft beers that taste better than they do in cans or bottles

It's all the same beer.
The key for most folks is drinking it out of a glass. You pour your bud lite can into a glass, and get a pull off the keg and you'll realize it's the same shite.

Of course, there are other factors at play - how fresh is the beer? Has it been stored properly? Does the bar have clean lines? How old is the keg? Do you have last years cans that the distributor lost in the back and just now decided to ship them to your Winn Dixie?

It's odd, my father wouldn't drink draft beer in a million years. But he'll pound beer from a bottle OR can, preferably bottle.

I'd much prefer draft everytime though.

The rare stuff comes in bottles and cans, so that's what I prefer. Beer that you can just go and buy off the shelf or from some tap room is just not going to make the grade.

Well, every beer has CO2, and any place worth a damn uses a CO2/nitrogen mix to push beer.

Some beers taste better poured out of bottles. Others tatse better on draft. There are a lot of factors.

How were the bottles stored?
Age?
Color of bottles?
Were they exposed to any UV light?
Chemical make-up of can liner?
Chemical make-up of bottle cap?
Corked? If so, were they laid down or upright?
How were the contaiers purged?
What chemicals were used when purging or in the bottling/kegging/canning line?
Temperature of storage?
Any yeast sediment in the bottles or cans?
etc. etc. The list goes on.

I will say I'm a sucker for bottled Saison Dupont and :looksaround: bottled Heineken. I think the skunkiness adds to the flavor. I have legit cravings for it. The draft versions just lack.

I'm not a fan of anything bottled by Lazy Mag. Weird off taste when compared to draft.

Kegged IPAs all the way.

All that said, all beers taste better in a drinking glass rather than out of a can or bottle - even Heady. Aroma is half the battle, and you don't get that out of a small hole in the top of a container.
