Do you feel the term "foodie" has all but gone away?

You don't hear the term as much or even people refer to themselves as foodies like you did in the early 2000s and 2010s.
Maybe the rise of casual, chef-owned restaurants that put out great food for a small price has changed the perception of the snobbish foodie term? Or did the craft beer moniker just push foodie to the side?
I considered myself a foodie at one point, but always hated the way the name sounded. I like to read about, learn about, and enjoy great food no matter the setting. Not sure if there is a new term on the horizon for that.

I'm too picky to be a "foodie"

I’m an eater.
I don’t really pay attention to all the terminology, foodie, farm to table, organic, craft beer, artisanal. I was just watching Simply Ming and all I heard was him and the other guy “chef, yes chef, good chef, chef hand me the salt, ok chef.’ I wanted to punch the screen.
I would consider myself an enthusiast and that would be as far as I could go.

I’m not picky enough to be a foodie.

Foodie simply means a pretentious hipster gourmand.
And no, these people will never go away. Change the word, but these overrated dregs of society will forever be with us.

So what does one call someone who likes good fresh food, innovative menus, and generally avoids the shitty chain places?
I'm just asking because I used to think foodie wasn't a bad term as I thought it meant someone who appreciates good fresh food.
Foodie and a gourmet were the only two things I could think of. I would never refer to myself as one, especially not gourmet, but what is the correct term that doesn't piss the baws off?

Anyone with any sort of standard is a foodie now. The term has lost all meaning.

You guys are crazy, it can just be someone who likes to eat food and talk about it.
I’ll say foodie on rare ocasstion, not a big deal.

Social media has destroyed the “foodie” moniker. Used to be foodie meant someone who ventured out, explored and tried (and savored) assorted cuisines and dishes.
Now anyone who selfies their fricking dinner plate is a #foodie
One of the many things social media has ruined.

I don’t disagree with that but for me it doesn’t matter.

I want to revive epicurean.

Horrible term. I hate when people say "I'm really into food" or "I really like food"
I always think "no shite, really? Show me someone who isn't or doesn't."
Foodie is a horrible term. So is gourmand and gastronome...
