I know I know everything sucks, we’re dumb for even going, etc, etc.

Any decent Mexican or Italian spots worth a reservation? Anywhere on property is fine. TIA

Check out the menu for Toppolino’s Terrace at the Riviera Resort. Good stuff.

The Mexican place in Epcot inside the Pavilion has ok good but the atmosphere is really cool for kids. San Angel.

Better Mexican can be found st Coranado springs, but that is a far off resort.

For Italian you have Mana Melrose and Tony's which are like Olive Garden level. Ok for kids.

Again the best Italian would be in the epcot Italy pavilion.

We ate there this week, it was very good. Sushi at the new restaurant in Japan was very good as well.

Friend,

As mentioned already, Via Napoli is an excellent pizzeria and has decent Italian appetizers. Its pizza is better than any pizza found in Louisiana. A reservation there can be difficult to find. I have tried all “the best” pizzas in Orlando, outside Disney. None holds a candle to Via Napoli, which is as good as any Neapolitan pizzeria in Naples.

While I have never eaten in the Mexican restaurant that shares a space in the Donald Duck slow river ride, it looks good.

Yours,

For Mexican the San Angel Inn inside the pyramid is really cool. It’s a nighttime street set up, and you eat by the “river.” The food is ok, but not great.

Across from there is Hacienda San Angel (not the cafe/quick service). It’s traditional Mexican (not Tex mex) and it’s actually really good. They also have a fantastic tequila selection.

The best Italian, hands down, is Trattoria al Forno on the boardwalk. Kids tend to like Mama Melrose because of the deserts and the on top of spaghetti. Tony’s in the MK is serviceable.

Disney is fun man, I've been over 10 times with my family and each time I've had a blast. You just have the know the ins and outs, Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria is fav Italian. Also Disney Springs is the hot spot for good food

Italian:
Tutto Italia in Epcot is always good IMO & we also enjoyed Mama Melrose the time we went. Avoid Terriliana Crafted Italian in Disney Springs.

Mexican:
La Cantina de San Angel quick service was pretty good but expensive for what you get. 4 Rivers cantina food truck in Disney Springs is pretty good as well.

It's been years since I've been, but they used to have a deal where if you dined there, you got special seating and maybe early entry into the laser light show over the lake. That was nice and the food was fine.

We went to via Napoli for lunch pizza last week and la hacienda for dinner one night. Good pizza except ours could have stayed in the oven about 5 minutes longer, middle was soggy.

La hacienda does have chips and queso/salsa and it’s right on the lake in Epcot. I got the carne asada steak and my wife got grouper special, both were delicious.

Go to Tony's with the kids. In MK right up front. Make a reservation.

I agree. It is always funny to me how triggered some get when people mention Disney.

Best food I had there were empanadas at the Mexico pavilion in Epcot and some of the quick service stuff at the Morocco pavilion.

Steak restaurant in the contemporary was ok.

Ohana in the Polynesian is good.

Also Topolino’s Terrace at the new Riveria property is very good.

The Italian place in Epcot is solid.

Most food in the magic kingdom sucks
Hollywood studios is about the same.

The best food I have had was actually at Universal. Mythos and cowfish were both great. Wolfgang Puck at Disney Springs was a big disappointment. Believe it or not the Splitsville (bowling alley) has really solid food and you don't need a reservation.

ETA:

San Angel Inn is not bad for Mexican but out of the two I prefer the pizza at Via Napoli

I don't believe I've ever heard of anyone being triggered because they don't think Disney is fun or due to it's food, but I guess it's possible that there are some out there.

Go start a disney thread on the OT and see what happens.
