Coral Reef is another of the more ill-reviewed places on disboards, yet I have never had less than an outstanding meal there.

My kids were 5 and 3 when they went and they still rave about Disney. The fun is seeing them enjoy it now while they actually believe most of it is real. I guarantee they'll remember much of what they saw.

Cinderella's royal table at lunch was a nice sit down meal with the kids. Food is actually decent there as is the service. These specialty dinners/lunches/breakfasts are the only way to guarantee your kids get to speak to and hug and get autographs from most characters. Well worth the time and money.

Um yes I do realize that but to see my kids happy for a week is Kinda improtant to me

um, yes .. and you do realize that your kids would achieve the same level of happiness and you would get the same benefit from a saturday at chuck e cheese for the price of one pizza and a bunch of game tokens ..

no shite .. i genuinely feel sorry for what you folks with families have to pay to spend a week at disney .. i really do .. but the ones that bring a 2 year old and a 6 month are just straight up stupid .. why not go to dixie landin' and eat at mcdonalds .. an assload cheaper and the kids can't tell the difference between that and disney at that age anyway ..

is the trip for you or them ? don't tell me YOU want to go to disney world and YOU want to be served a reheated patio mexican dinner by a human geing in a giant goofy suit for $75 .. what are you doing ?? trying to make yourself feel like a better parent because you can tell your kids you took them to disney when they were 2 ?? i just don't see why you wouldn't do that when they are at an age when you'll get more bang for your buck and they will actually remember it on their own for the rest of their lives ..

Hell why stop there. Go for the all you can eat ponchos with the plastic seats and then the kids can watch mom and dad have a farting contest at the end of the meal. I bet they would remember that pretty vividly also.

I can't wait to take my kids to Disney next year and they will be 6 and 3.

on my last trip the wife and i were in electric umbrella getting some lunch...ahead of us in line was a young couple (mid 30's)

they had 2 kids both under 5

dad was wearing a harness carrying one of them and mom had a stroller with the other and both were yelling

the mom took the stroller into the bathroom while the "kid in the harness" dad had to carry to trays of food with drnks atop and his child to the table then stand and give runway signals in the air so his wife could find them...my wife an i looked at each other, shook our heads and vowed NEVER!

Went with my parents about 10 years ago and me and my brother had the choice of the Hoopdee doo review or Cirque de Soliel. We chose the Hoopdee doo review.

It was OK, pretty entertaining, but after going see Cirque de Soliel earlier this year I realize we made the wrong choice.

Cirque de Soliel was amazing, you're kids would enjoy it too.

As long as your kids are out of diapers and you aren't going in the middle of summer trying to put in 10 hours a day at the parks, I say you are good.

I have a friend that's whole family of 17 or so that has gone for five straight years now and the oldest kid is just now turning 6. I couldn't do it. Last year one of the two year olds got sick the day before and they still went. The kid threw up on herself and her stuffed animal in line at security at the departure airport.

Then again, the dad has $$$$ and they stay at the best resort at Disney and go during early spring.

dude, to me it is just common fricking sense with one's money ... look at what you are paying for a five-day park hopper pass as well as how much you are paying to eat in the park .. then, when the kids are under 6, you have to put both of them in a stroller and push them around .. that's a lotta fun for mom and dad .. then you spend $60 for lunch, the kid doesn't eat but maybe 10% of .. two trips to the bathroom to change one of them .. then, at around noon, you have to stop to go back to the room for naps .. by the time they are back in commission, it is 5PM and you just don't go back to the park .. you spend $1200 for passes and you might be in the park a combined one day out of the five ...

you wait until they are older, can walk on their own, can go to the bathroom on their own .. eat all of their food .. and you can stay in the park all day and mom and dad can actually enjoy themselves .. that's all i am saying .. don't see what is so hard for some of these people to understand ..
