this is a lot of fun.
Also, for those who are questioning bringing really young children to Disney, I have to disagree. We've been several times with our kids, most recently when the ages were 2, 4, and 6. The magic in bringing them at this age is to see the pure joy in their eyes - they truly believe that all of the characters they see are actually the real character. It is special to see. I don't think you'd get that out of a 10 year old. And, by the way, they do remember - m kids still ask me to this day when we're going back and my daugther talks about specific things she wants to see again and we haven't been in 2 years.

it was really aimed at Rag, but I responded to you.
eta: for some reason he gets personally offended when anyone talks about spending money on a luxury.
i.e. the stand by generator debate

Not really for some people.
I understand for many a trip to Disney is a big expense that they save for a year or longer for. For some the money is not big deal, they can afford to go multiple times.
Why try to talke them out of it, let them enjoy themselves.

I realize you have yours, but why try to talk someone out of a trip they can afford and want to go on.
It would be different if they said I can only take my kids to Disney once or twice. What is the best age to go.

i'm not talking anyone out of anything .. throwing out food for thought .. and there really aren't that many 28 year old couples out there with two small kids that can REALLY afford to do that .. you know that shite is going on credit cards and they will be paying for that trip for the next 10 years while sliding the balance from card to card ... i just say why not set a goal, save up for four or five years .. take the kids when it really means something to them and pay for the entire trip in cash ...

stating an opinion =/= talking someone out of something

I forgot Rag was the one arguing with me about generators also. RAG I personally want to say Im sorry for spending my money on Generators and trips for my kids. After reading your opions I have also canceled my Ski trip and trips to the beach this year. Please sleep tight knowing you and the government will not have to bail me out when I am in debt.
Speaking of Generators got my bill last week 25KW 7 days natural gas 218.00.. Man was it worth it

i'll be sure to throw you a 5 spot at the end of the bluebonnet exit ramp when i see you in about 10 years .. hopefully you'll still have your mouse ears ..

Seriously, post counting. I forgot that makes what I say less relevant. I could totally understand that if I was on the rant because everyone knows to really have a valid opion you have to have over 500 post.. I mearly was asking a guy who sounded like he has been to disney about some fun places to eat..

What is Jellyrolls.
I have to proudly say, my dining thoughts have improved greatly over the last 10 years. On that honeymoon trip, we stood in line for 45 minutes to eat at the Rain Forrest Cafe. I loved it. Thought the food was great and the atmosphere was so "neat". Now you would have to be offering to pay to get me in the door of that place.
Back to the other point. I don't care about the money, but taking very young kids on trips is just a royal pain in the arse. We did a group trip to Destin when our youngest was six months. Never again. If you can pull it off and be happy, more power to you. I would rather get my hand hit with a hammer over and over than bring a infant on a airplane also.
I have to laugh when I see the family out at the LSU game with the infant. Poor kid gets drug around in the heat all day and then the kid and mom are miserable and sitting under the stands for half the game. Pappa can tell everyone he took Jr. to the game at six months though.
