Texturally, corn tortillas are terrible
You have to have fresh corn tortillas or they do get dried out. And fresh flour tortillas are great too, I like both. But Corn is the correct answer for tacos.

Depends on who is cooking and the person eating. Some dishes are nostalgic and your taste buds are used to it.
There is a vegetable called bitter gourd. Like the name, it has a bitter taste. But when cooked the right way, it is delicious.

I want to say Tacos, though I like authentic ones as well.

We've pretty much taken other countries' dishes and made them better, but worse for our waste lines. Mexican food is a prime example. The real deal isn't slathered in queso, chili, and a month's supply of salt.

You’re crazy, Mexican tacos >>> Texas tacos.
Corn tortilla, protein, cilantro, onions, lime, and hot sauce. That’s a taco.
Agree. Real Mexican is the best Mexican. Baffled by all the down votes on this

The downvotes are for me, not the statement itself. I never even glance at the votes.

Uh that's how tacos are in Texas too...
I can go to any taco place in the city and get that. It's the places like fuzzys and torchys that change it up.

I just ask for Mexican tacos at our local Texmex place, and they’re great. Not on the menu at all, and they’ll make chorizo or any protein they have. Only time you get the good, orange, homemade hot sauce.

What's your point?
Are you trying to say that anchovies were in the original recipe?
By a guy named Caesar that was from Italy. Still not sure what you're trying to argue here but by all means, continue being wrong.

quote:sure they were.... whether by adding full anchovies or being in the Worcestershire. you admitted this already.... and proved yourself wrong.

quote:and i would like to see where "Whats cooking in america " got this original recipe because it seems like it is up for interpretation.
What's Cooking America says the original recipe included "romaine, garlic, croutons, and Parmesan cheese, boiled eggs, olive oil and Worcestershire sauce." Supposedly Cardini's brother, Alex, came to Tijuana in 1926 and added anchovies to the salad. He called his version the "Aviator's salad." What's Cooking America says that this version was so well-received that it became the standard and was renamed the "Caesar salad."
and reading more into it it sounds like Caesar Cardini stole the recipe.
