Log cabin pancakes is on the side road off main drag.
Everything else is a tourist trap. Not sure what has opened since the Forrest fire took a lot out. We used to like a pizza joint but I know that burned down. Have fun.

Is smoky mountain brewery kid friendly

Smokey Mountain Brewery is kid friendly. Think of it like Crescent City Brewhouse in New Orleans.
There was a good barbeque place just northeast of town but I can't remember the name. Delauder's reviews well but doesn't look like where I was.
ETA: The best restaurant was at the Buckberry Lodge but it was a casualty of the fire. They are rebuilding but I'm unsure the current status.

Pancake Pantry is one of my Top 5 favorite restaurants, anywhere. I could eat there every single day and not get sick of it.

Smokey Mountain Brewery
I knew this place was legit when I walked in and their bags of hops were from Bamberg, Germany. I was living in Schweinfurt at the time, about 30 minutes west of Bamberg.
