Any reviews on this place?

I haven't been in a few years but the chicken and dumplings are really great. Fried chicken and eggplant to but I prefer the dumplings. Great Lima beans and on the weekends speckled butter beans. I'll be in that area in the fall and will go again. Just doesn't stay on my radar.

it's a big lazy Susan you sit around and serve yourself off of platters
the vegetables are the best part
make sure you strategically position yourself relative to the fried chicken and eggplant

Fried eggplant is great along with the chicken. Haven't been in a few years

Why do you need to position yourself a certain way? If they didn't have what I wanted I would just leave.

If you like family style and fried food, then it will be right up your alley.
I also was a fan of Star Drive in like 5 minutes up the road in Summitt, Mississippi. Had a pretty good fried chicken/fish/veggies/desert buffet for like $9

I've never been to the dinner bell but the Star drive inn is good. We went last week and was good as always.

I haven't been since the 80's, but always loved going there when I was a kid with the family.
The lazy Susan concept was/is very cool and unique. I always thought the fried chicken was good. Buffets were very uncommon in the 70's and 80's and this place was fun and different.

Was very excited to try it about 5 or 7 years back. I thought it was ok, but didn't live up to the hype.

I used to like it although I haven't been there in years. My all time favorite along those lines was The Revolving Tables in Mendenhall, Mississippi but I don't think it is there anymore. We would plan our driving trips around being able to stop there for lunch. The owners were very nice people despite being huge Ole Miss fans.

Thanks to all the replies. Fried chicken was OK. Eggplant and cornbread dressing was good.

Not as good or as cheap as it use to be...

I used to have family in McComb, so this place was a regular. If you like mostly bland, fried country food, with overcooked vegetables, this is your place. They love it, I always tried to avoid it.
