The food items sound like my ideal restaurant, the prices def not. I’d love to try it some day

Look, these type of places are for certain types of people. Honestly surprised they let you in since you arent BR elite.

I have the same answer for you as I got when I asked that. Nothing.

“Eat breakfast like a King, lunch like a Queen, and supper like a pauper.

If I eat breakfast like a king, I had dinner then lunch then supper” lulz

what does that mean?

I was referring to the ambience. It was very dark and very loud.
I prefer being able to hear everyone at my table without raising voices.
As far as prices go, I think some of the items (particularly alcohol) were just stupid expensive for the sake of being expensive, so people can impress their date by ordering it, when they really don’t know the difference.

“Dinner” is your largest meal of the day If you eat that meal at noon, you have supper that night. If you eat that meal n the evening, you had lunch that day. In rural Louisiana, anyway. Lol

No one in my part of Louisiana refers to lunch or supper as Dinner.

Interesting. The wine bottles are cheaper than most in BR, from when I was there. Cocktails comparable to similar type restaurants. Steak similar to Ruth’s.

Only expensive things I recall are unique things like wagyu.

That’s unfortunate. I would be tempted to go if they were more on par with Sullivan’s steaks.

Dinner and supper are interchangeable. It’s the evening meal. I grew up saying supper, now I say dinner. Let’s not be difficult.

How much is the old fashioned? That’s always a good benchmark.

Over $14 and it’s dumb.

I think is was 18-20. I had an old fashioned, because it was the cheapest whiskey cocktail available. After that, I drank 4 roses SB, which wasn’t unreasonable.
But they had an another cocktailoffering with higher end Japanese whiskey(I think) for $50.
$50 for a cocktail.

How’s their wine program? Is it Caymus and Belle Glos or do they have a somm?

Just because you say doesn’t make it true. If you had dinner at a supper club you are definitely a mover and a shaker.

More on the Caymus/Belle Glos side, unfortunately. Although some dude claimed to be the sommelier. Doubtful.

But I do remember since most of the bottles were familiar, I knew right off the bat if they were priced too high, and they weren’t.

Agreed, it gets torched on here but it’s booked night in and night out, I spend the same at SC as I do Ruth’s or any other steakhouse/fine dining establishment, it’s good food, the atmosphere is a change of pace which is a good thing.

That would be expensive for Chicago or New York.
