Agree. Guy Fieri is a douche, but he seems like a nice douche. The types of places he goes is exactly what I look for...... Good food in a casual setting.

I guess that's a good way of putting it.

The dude and his show definitely have some sort of odd appeal to me, I just can't quite explain it though.

About a year ago I posted that while back in the states on vacation (I was living in Germany at the time) I noticed that the Food Network - which I had last watched in early-2006 - had morphed into a platform for airing completely mind-numbing and dumbed-down programming. The only thing I saw worth watching was Good Eats (mostly reruns) and Triple D. Guy F is worthless as the host of a cooking show but he pulls off this gig. Being an annoying bleached blonde prick with ADHD actually works in this show.

Love the show.

Guy wouldn't be nearly as bad if he didn't use those same, awful...and I do mean awful, catch phrases in every show. "That's capital T...tender," "Takin the boat to flavor town," and any other stupid arse shite he thinks up, or just uses slightly different versions of. When he's just talking food, I don't mind him.

I wouldn't. I'd rather sell a product that many people don't want, but need.

I actually like Guy Ferari (spelling?). How can you not? He is very personable and outgoing. I wouldn't dress like him or do my hair like his, but he doesn't come off as a douche in my opinion. And I agree with yall, I love the show.

Never saw the show before, but they just did an episode at a place about a mile from my house called T-Bone Tom's in Kemah, TX. Their sign says the episode airs Nov 23rd. They have a huge banner hanging on the building now that says, "As seen on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives".

Good Chicken Fried Steak and Fried Pork Chops. Started out as a meat market back in the day and now serves as a meat market and restaurant. A lot of good ole places start as meat markets it seems. Here's their website: T-Bone Tom's
