I only ate their once, but it was the worst Chinese food I ever ate. I know they had their regulars because they were cheap/gave big portions. Maybe they had a few things on the menu that were good, but I couldn't even eat what I ordered and I'm not too picky.

Went through the drive through and had maggots in the good once. Never returned.

While it may have survived Katrina and a nuclear holocaust, it did not survive the rising rents on Veterans. Soon, very few independent restaurants will survive on Veterans in Metairie. I was only able to try it once, and I did not like it. When Mother and I visited there a couple of years ago, Mother saw the state of the building and refused to enter or go through the drive-thru. On a positive, I was able to snap the photo below of the back of the Egg Roll House, the only known extant photo of the restaurant's back when it was open.
