Did anyone here ever attend a taping of Emeril Live?

I loved this show during it's initial run and was pretty disappointed when it was cancelled. I was young and in college and couldn't quite afford to take a trip to New York back in those days.
Recently, I've found a channel on Hulu Live called DABL that shows a daily re-run of Emeril's show so I've watched quite a few over the last several weeks.
Did anyone here make a trip up there to attend a taping? How much did it cost to sit at the bar area to be able to eat the food?

Never went, but watched often, and it is really what got me started cooking. I watched the episode one Sunday afternoon where he made crawfish etouffee and thought I could do that. Went to the store, bought the stuff, and sort of went nuts cooking after that.
I always got a laugh out of the audience members reacting to the addition of garlic or beer to a dish. They’d whoop like it was cocaine or something.

Which one, hasn’t he been married a half dozen times?

I was friends with Emeril when he first moved to Louisiana. knew his first wife and attended his 2nd. wedding and reception.
Seems like he finally found a true soul mate (not an easy thing to do). I'm happy for him.
Damn that guy can cook!!!

I think he damn near cooked everything on the show
At some point you run out of recipes to cook and it’s time to move on
From there he sells stuff on qvc and he’s pushing his signature line of cooking gear

Me too. My Dad likes to tell friends/family he taught me how to cook but it was really Food Network. Emeril's show was great.

Never got to go see the show, but I watched it a bunch in college and afterwards. He came to Birmingham for a book signing and my sister knew I liked his show so she got me a signed copy of one of his cookbooks. I used it quite a bit to try new things and still cook several of the meals in it regularly.

No but several times I have gotten the red carpet treatment eating at the food bar overlooking the kitchen while he was back there cooking.
