Heard from a friend today that Louis Deangelo decided to sell that specific location. Friend says it will reopen as a Mexican restaurant, not sure what though. That's all I know.

I have been there many times since it was close to my parents house growing up, and the food was always good but they never seemed to do any deals (weekend specials, happy hour, etc). Seems Louis saw this as a sinking ship.

Hasn't the entire franchise been a sinking ship for a few years now?

As if there is a need for another shitty Mexican fast food joint. Oh I'll have the enchiladas..... 1min later... Here you go sir.

El Paso , hacienda (which may not make it another 3 months), fernandos, casa lavida all are shitty mex joints within 2 min of that location. Then you throw I'm taco chops which I kinda like In there too. Don't know how these things survive. All their food taste exactly alike.

They have 3 Mexican restaurants on Coursey alone as it is (Fernandos, Casa La Vida, and Las Palmas) and that's not even counting the ones on Sherwood right around the corner.

Need one more in this location!

Hacienda has bit the dust. that didn't last long. Got a for sale sign out front.

Also, there is ahuuas at coursey and jones creek.

Amazing they are all supported. When you can serve a chicken breast, onions, and bellpeppers on a sizzling skillet with some tortillas for $18, why not?

not to discount your friend...but I'd be shocked (and disappointed) if another Mexican restaurant opens there.

Is Ahuuas still open? Tried it a couple of times, and it was not very good.

Another Mexican restaurant? Please no.

What's up with Jones Creek Cafe? I recently heard the wife passed away around Christmas time. That was sad to hear.

With that nice patio, JCC has potential. It has been awhile since I've been and a new image is definitely needed.

Hopefully they'll move the smokers away from the patio door so the smoke won't drift inside, and the menu and the way they prepare a lot of their foods need a big change. I'd love to see the place do well. They could & should be able to compete with City Cafe.
