I read on an old TD post that some of you might have the true recipe to the Lake Charles
Darrel's Special sandwich recipe.
If you have it, would you please post it or Facebook
Message me the recipe?

I would edit out that email if it's not a throwaway one.

Someone will just post the recipe in here

I love how people just KNOW it's deli meat and packaged gravy.

Most normal people don't over analyze trivial things like you do.

Are you honestly going to try to argue that it's not?

I just thank god that the sandwich doesn't have a casing. Then this thread would turn into a 14 page thread with Darrelwiki.com citations.

It's a well known fact. Not sure why you can't just accept that it's deli meat and packaged au jus.

If it's good to you, who cares what it is?

Just like it is a known fact on this board that everything at chain restaurants comes precooked from Sysco and is thrown on in a microwave.

Sorry baw. The Darrells Special is the single most overrated thing on this board. Deli meat, deli cheese, gravy from a can, yankee hoagie bread. Mayo with some chopped pickled jalepenos added. I'm not impressed. Chips on the side. Yay!

Plus I hate the name "Darrell". Total cock sucker name. I've never met anyone named Darrell that wasn't a complete tool.

ETA: the Surf & Turf is better than the Special. Still nothing great, IMO.

No hate baw. Sorry about your feels. I'm headed through there later this week. I will get one and give you the full report.

It's not terrible. I've eaten there many times. It's good for LC. It's ham, roast beef, turkey, cheese, gravy, and mayo...

I wonder if anyone would know the difference from "deli meat" and meat that was brined in house then cooked and sliced considering they ate the same thing.
