would eat nothing but sandwiches if that was possible. I’ve tried Darrell’s twice. The meat was low quality and the mayo concoction was off putting. It’s ok that I didn’t like it y’all will survive

Agreed. I’ve had it a few times and I don’t get the hype. I don’t find any of their sandwiches to be that great. Flaky bread, too much mayo/sauce, over fried seafood or cold cuts. It’s pretty average.

No confusion on the mayo though.

Closed permanently in August. Dispute with building owner, crawfish provider/restaurant owner, and Darrell’s LC family. Farmer and guy responsible for crawfish cooking had enough of their BS and called their bluff. He’s still debating a way to do crawfish this upcoming season. I’m honestly surprised someone here would even think theirs was good (I do) because they dust and everyone knows that is a hot button.

That place was not good. Farmer/Owner was a nut job

looking at their menu, looks like Boil House doesn’t have a simple fried shrimp or fried oyster poboy either.

they don't have any fried seafood on their menu - they boil or sauté everything.

Understand. So kind of back to the issue I have with Darrell’s, and it’s probably just a me thing. If I’m going somewhere for a poboy, 8 times out of 10, I want a fried shrimp, catfish or oyster one.

Word on the street is they will try to open back up in November. Rebrand and do a similar menu with some add ons.
