I wanted to give a quick plug for this place. Went yesterday for lunch and it was empty. I cannot understand why. Food is delicious and the owner is a great genuine guy. Ya'll give him a try. Text ahead and he will have it ready for you.

It's been empty every time I've gone in, but absolutely amazing food and service.

I eat there and pick up often. It’s almost never busy. The food and owner are A++

Is the owner still Mr. Khan? Super nice guy. Loved eating there when I lived in the area a few years back.

Yes, and all of this. Amazing food.

I see they finally got on the online ordering train.
Their old text ordering system was absolutely nuts. I made the mistake of calling once and the cook answered and was like "You have to text, I'm in the middle of cooking!"

Super nice guy and really wish they'd be busier. Not sure how he's still around as the place is dead every night.
I need to order from them soon. The texting order system was strange.

Ummm, unless something has changed, he still wants text orders. The website has shown option for online ordering for years. Definitely strange, although I’m a pro at it now. I’ll ask him why his website still shows that next time I go.
Get the Jafrani rice instead of plain. Trust me. A few of my other favorites for anyone that might care:
Fish Curry
Shrimp Korma
Shrimp Kahari
Vegetable Korma
No, I’m not a pescatarian

That place is delicious. I don't go anywhere as often as I'd like but the food has been on point every time I've gone. The owner is a very nice friendly guy, I want to say he's Pakistani. I think he tries to discourage the door dash kind of services because they charge the customer more even when they pick up themselves plus it cuts into his profits as they love to dip from both ends.
The vindaloo is awesome. He also offers Jack fruit as a sort of meat substitute. I tried it once just for the heck of it and it was pretty good. Texture wasn't quite meat but it filled the role well enough and it did a great job of soaking up the flavors of the curry. Not something I'd go for every time but cool to try and works for something uncommon here and kind of different. I think you can pick it instead of meat/vegetables in most dishes, though I'd have to imagine it'd work better in some vs others.

You are right. I did an online order tonight and he said he prefers text.

Same here, but they seem to do a steady take-out business when I'm there.

Not sure if he still does it but you can call and order their sauces. I get a pint of their korma, tikka and butter and bring them home and throw them in the freezer. All I need is some protein and to make some basmati rice and I have a quick meal that tastes amazing.

Trying this place now. Owner is super friendly. Asked if it was my first time and when I said yes, he asked where I’ve been the last 10 years.
Asked how heard about the place and I told him my friends on TD. Haven’t gotten my food yet, but it smells delicious.
ETA: 2 enthusiastic thumbs up. Food was delicious and owner is quite the character. Will definitely be back.

I was sitting right next to you and heard you say TD
Had the Chicken 65, Fish Curry and Jafrani Rice and everything was fresh and delicious. The owner was also very nice. I will be back soon.

That's funny. When you got up to leave, I thought to myself, "I bet he's on Tigerdroppings."

They were closed between Christmas and New Years, so ended up going todday. The food was delicious. We had the veggie jalfrazi, channa masala, chicken korma with a cumin seed rice. The ingredients were fresh and each of the tomato-based sauces had different flavor. It's a do-over.
