I can do complicated calculus but I'm too stupid to light a fire. Finally got that done just lost a few hairs off my knucles. Fire started at 5:00.
The fancy "Jet" burner is just a hose with a hole in the end of it
It does indeed sound like a jet though.
Let's go wash the assholes.
and yes my grass looks like shite in the back yard. My wife has two new black lab puppies (65lbs puppies) that have torn the hell out of the back yard.

Should I seal my paddle with butcher block oil? Or just let it ride?
Posted on 3/29/19 at 5:52 pm to DeoreDX

Sounds like you need more ice chest . I have at least 20 . One just for crawfish transport and dumping in when boiled .

Picking out the dead ones is a PITa. Taking longer than I thought it would. Couple of the bastards for me good

I don’t pick out the dead ones FWIW
Let the people eating them do that

Nobody's gonna laugh at the "Beware of Dog" "POOP" sign behind his pot?
This thread makes you and your wife sound like the kind of neighbors I could get along with except for one weekend in September.

Aholes turned out good. At least to my untrained pallette. Corn and taters were like eating spice bombs. Wished the aholes had the heat of the accouterments and the acouterments had less heat. It was a big hit though. I just rubbed my eyeball while writing this post and it's on fire. I bet I washed my hands 50 times since I ate my last one. I just pulled 4 pork shoulder off the smoker and threw on 6 more. My arse is beat I'll get some more pics up tomorrow.

Show pics of the pork shoulders and smoker.

The whole rip the head off and suck on it like a Tijuana hooker just kind of grosses me out. They honestly kind of give me the willies... I have to drive out and pick the little creepy aholes up... I don't like the idea of the sack of aholes pissing and shitting in my beer cooler. I sure as shite ain't letting their creepy asses ride in the cab.

Please don't murder me [Cue Sarah McLachlan music].
Takes skill to drop a potato like this.
Aholes boiling alive.
Yeah the 4ft table was way too small. Ended up pouring on the trays. There was still another tray's worth in the strainer so the paddle tricked worked great. Next time I'll grab a turkey hook to help lift the arse end up to pour.
One complaint was the wife only bought ONE package of sausage. Not a 2lbs pack. Or a 3lbs pack. A singular 14oz pack of sausage.
It was like a scavenger hunt trying to find a piece in the sea of crawfish.

Almost forgot. Starting to pull some butts off the smoker as they finish. This is the 2nd batch. Did half yesterday. Half again over night.

Yep. I like an 8 ft. table minimum per sack of mudbugs.
Next time toss in some mushrooms. They are like sponges and really absorb the seasoning. Any potatoes left over make a great potato salad or just cube some up and toss them in a pan with a bit of onion and ham and make an omelet for breakfast.
Also, you're so right about the minimal sausage. They are a hit with most folks and I always go for about 2+ lbs. per boil.

I'm betting you boil crawfish more often. Nicely done!!!!!

How’d that set up from academy work? I’ve been debating buying the same one. The water come to a boil fairly quick?
