Crawfish "Market Price" Right Now?

Morning Everyone,
I ate at The Galley (Metairie Rd.)for the first time over the weekend, and hadn't had any crawfish this year at all, so when in Rome...
Can somebody please tell me if $6 per pound is the going rate right now?
I'd swear I read that the prices came way down a few weeks ago, but if somebody can just tell me if this place totally shellacked me or not, that'll be much appreciated!

Yeah, it seemed just a tad off.

Congrats on the food poisoning (my dad and I both got sick the last, and final, time we ate there). That place sucks and is crazy expensive. Most places I saw were charging under $3 a pound for boiled this weekend.
ETA: The downvoters that follow me on this board are funny. I say something that is basically universally agreed upon in this thread, and I'm the only one getting downvotes. Congrats on being rustled so badly.

We ate the Blue Crab Saturday. Boiled crawfish were the same price there, $5.75 a piece for crabs and $16 a pound for boiled shrimp..... we did eat boiled seafood.

I got them for $1.75/lb in Dallas yesterday live. Says he gets his supply from outside Lafayette. Crawfish were a good medium size.
Bless the crawfish app. It's the King.

FWIW the prices are usually higher if you order and eat them in a restaurant vs picking them up for a stand. Not saying that $10 a pound isn’t highway robbery but around $5 a pound with fixings is somewhat expected.
