Crawfish boiler

Has anyone used the boiler from Academy? Looking for some feedback on it and if it's worth the money.
My 80qt pot is worn out and reached the end of it's life.

It depends on your preference. I prefer the versatility of having a standalone burner and pot. It's easier to transport, which is something I do multiple times a year. Standalone burners are also easier and more cost effective to replace parts on.

You can look at the RV works seafood boiler if you want something local and US made as well.
I am torn I almost ordered one of those RV work boilers the last time I got a order of fryers but I decided not too. I have no hands on with them but I wonder how easy are they to clean? My pot, I just dump right there and give it a rinse. I know these kind have a valve to drain but what about all the gradeaux left behind....do you have to sit there and try to hose it all out if the valve hole?

The ones I build have a 1.5" stainless ball valve drain. The bottom is shaped like a vee and the drain is in the bottom of the vee pointing out. 95% or the schmoo drains out and you spray around the pot to get the rest and your done. The valves usually would have internal threads on the end to attach a hose if you wanted to drain remotely, but when it's on wheels it's easy to roll to the drain spot.

Same. I hang my burner and 80qt pot on the wall in my shed. Zero footprint. This thing is the opposite of that. It's gonna take up a 5ft x 5ft spot in your shed.
And take into account transporting it, like you said, which happens sometimes. Now add in the cost of it and for me it's very clear...no thanks.

I like that design better. The RV works one looks like its not totally on the bottom and would leave a little layer of hard to get stuff.
Probably I think I have a cpl left 2 gal and 4 gal with stands ill check.

My issue with the loco cooker is what advantage does it really give you over a stand alone pot?
I know it’s got the igniter on it, but that’s not a huge selling point to me.
Also you can eat off the Tray which is kind of cool.
Any other reasons you can think of to where I should spend $500 on this thing?

i won't eat cooled down crawfish. i take about 2 scoops at a time from the ice chest so this doesn't happen

I've had my RV works for a couple of years with no issues and it dumps the cooked bugs well.

They make good quality stuff. I bought two of their 6 gallon fryers to do big fish fries.
They are really well made and can turn out some food.
