Restaurants still aren't making crap on selling crawfish.

I'm still paying ~$3.00 wholesale.

thanks for the info Rat

edit : are those selling prices based on a single restaurant or the average of several establishments in Metry ?

back in the day, my family would always call Dennis' Seafood (Lorino St) days in advance, reserve crawfish, then pick-up and bring home to eat

Where are you getting yours and how much for the sac

I am going to call Ron's in DS and La Lobsters in Brusly.

I didn't know where that came from, I just saw it on Reddit. Upon searching, the data comes from KATC in Lafayette, but I don't know who did the graph.

I tried to make it wider, but apparently that doesn't work anymore.

I broke down and went to Sammy's to get my first taste of crawfish this season. Prices are absolutely ridiculous (yet i still paid). $35 for 5 lbs. That is the last time i will be eating crawfish at a restaurant until May, if ever.

Yup went there last week and that was one of the worst batches I have ever had at Sammys

I called 8 places in Austin this week. Two were selling live crawfish for $9+/lbs and one had $4.50/lb for live. A friend in Los Angeles said she's at $21/lb though, so I guess I got that going for me

At least the graph has some context (like saying it's 3lbs boiled dine in). KATC just leaves you hanging.

also, what's "week 1?" I have friends in Acadiana who were posting crawfish pictures after Thanksgiving this season. 8 weeks would put this starting in like mid January, right?

You posted this on Reddit too?

Nevermind, I need to read entire threads.

My wife wants crawfish tonight but all of my go to farmers are still getting $3/lb so they don't want to give me a few sacks yet. Woman will just have to wait.

The image, from KATC, doesn't list anything except a vendor and a price. The only other source I've seen is the graph from the OP, which says in the legend "CRAWDAQ (3lbs boiled - Dine in)"
