Could I bring a toddler to Peche?

I've never been to Peche and we have reservations there in a few weeks.

He's pretty well behaved and we aren't the parents that allow our kid to ruin other people's dining experience. So just wondering what the atmosphere is like and if we'll get dirty looks coming in with a toddler.

It's so loud in there nobody would notice if a baby was throwing a fit.

well behaved

I have found that well behaved kids can go pretty much anywhere to eat in the city.

If you think the child can sit the whole time he/she should be fine.

I have been taking a five and seven year old to all kinds of nice places, and never had an issue and was surprised by how many other kids go to these places.

Lunch or dinner. Either way you will be fine. See if you can get either one of the booths or a table along the windows. I find our toddler works best in those settings.

This. I've taken mine since she was born everywhere and now at 12 she really appreciates good dining and finally is stepping out of her comfort zone and trying new dishes.

And my parents took all five of us always. If we caused a scene we got the crap beat out of us when we got home. I'd say each one of us caused one scene.

I took my 5-y/o there and had no problems. It is VERY loud. Just take a toy or a game or something to keep your child occupied.

You'll be fine. Sit where BO suggests.

It's funny when I hear people say that the place is so loud because the last time I was there was during an ice storm and a lot of restaurants were actually closed due to the weather (there were icicles everywhere). When I arrived for lunch the staff was thanking me for coming, since I was the only one in there. Until a few others trickled in, I had the place to myself.

As long as you leave them at the door. Just kidding. Any place you can't bring a child is not worth going to. Restaurant dining is not just for the privileged class.

I had dinner at Rufinos in lafayette last night. Someone thought it was a good idea to being their very young child (high chair aged). The entire restaurant wanted to murder them.

I think Peche is loud has entered into the popular lexicon like "You can get crawfish from Big Fishermen and bring to Bulldog".

Last time I was in there, I noticed they have added acoustic buffers to ceiling and put some thick drapes up. It was no louder than say any other restaurant on a busy night.

It was noisy around us, but we could hear each other at a table of 4 pretty well. I didn't find it troublesome and I like a restaurant with energy.

It's not loud except maybe for geriatrics who have their hearing aids turned up too much.

Peche is a loud restaurant. It doesn't bother me, but to say it's not loud (when full) is crazy.
