Let's look at this question on the most simplest instict...

You will know how a date goes..you're going to frick. Coffee or dessert doesnt matter. Waste of time. Go frick.

You're unsure, so you offer coffee or dessert, you're a loser who has 1.) No chance or 2.) Can't figure how to frick.

Bottom line.

Will usually take dessert if the waiter doesn't take 30 minutes after I finish my meal to ask.

By then I'm full and not in the mood go eat again.

Never on the coffee...Dessert usually only if wifey and I go to Grille 29.

However, if you want dessert you have to order it when you order your entrees due to everything including desserts being made from scratch and cooked to order.

If I get one, I get both. I usually only get dessert on special occassions- not super into sweets.

Sometimes yes to dessert if it's one of those long spaced out meals.
Never have coffee after the meal.

Sometimes will do a port or some kind of after meal drink.

Occasionally I'll say yes to coffee, especially if others are having dessert, then I know I won't keep them waiting while I enjoy my coffee.

Occasionally coffee after lunch, occasionally dessert after dinner. Practically never the inverse.

I almost never got dessert until recently.
My wife almost always split an entree these days.
We look at the menu and get either an appetizer or dessert depending on the selection.
Coffee only sometimes.

Hardly ever order dessert after a meal and maybe coffee one in a dozen or so times. Usually by time I finish my meal, I'm too damn full to order more.
