Clarence Thomas is great. I don't even mind that he's a Cowboys fan.

Yeah, that's the reason he's disliked. It has nothing to do with his own shallow legal reasoning, self-loathing and lack of intellectual honesty.

LOL. What a bitter old jackass. Good thing you don't take anything seriously, right?

You should have thanked him and asked what the frick is wrong with Roberts?

Maybe he'd have told you that he made his own decision. What an exciting new concept!

What did Justice Thomas have to eat anyhow?

He was visiting LSU law the last two days. Got to see him speak, he had some really compelling points and he has an incredible story, plus he was funny as hell

Yea, they announced that an LSU grad was working as his law clerk at the game tonight and let her wave to the crowd the Jumbotron.

It's all coming together.

What the frick, dude? That's uncalled for. No doubt I'm getting older but I'm not at all bitter (I just think Thomas is a lightweight and one of the most cynical SC nominations in history) and I'm not a jackass. Maybe an a-hole, but not a jackass.

I could only see her from a distance, but she was pretty hot. You got to give the man props, he said he has a policy NOT to hire clerks from Ivys

nice to see the same ole message board libs parroting the same trite talking points. I'm laughing at the shallow legal reasoning comments from people who have likely not read one of his opinions.

Well I'm righter than Rush Limbaugh and I'll tell you this...I put tomatos in my cassoulet.

I've heard Thomas, Sandra Day O'Conner and Ginsberg all speak. Regardless of where you lie politically, you have to appreciate all of them. You may not approve of an opinion but each and all have earned their post and the Supreme Court is a balance we all need.

Tolerance, patience, humility and civility are virtues we all should practice and we have gotten far away from that. I met Tip O Neil in a restaurant in DC years ago. He was sitting at the table next to me and my brother and just out of hospitality, bought us a round of drinks. I remember he said once that he and Reagan battled everyday from 9-5 and then had a drink together. We all could learn a lesson there if we want this country to survive and thrive as it does and should.

And Justice Thomas picked a good place. Hats off to Roberto's. A nice joint.

You're wrong in at least one case. I will say that he has surrounded himself with talented law clerks.

Well said Martini, we need to elect more people who are not ideologues, but people with ideas more than just pro-union or no taxes. I read Clarence Thomas' book, the man should be one of the most admired people in America, especially by minorities, instead he is reviled by them. You can thank the liberal media machine for that.

Now back to food, whoever picked Roberto's for the dinner did well.
