Prayers sent.

Father of all, we pray to you for ., and for all those whom we love but see no longer. Grant to them eternal rest. Let light perpetual shine upon them. May his soul and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

cgrand, thoughts/prayers are with your wife’s family and yours as well.

Clancy’s is my wife & I’s anniversary spot. Every December without fail, we’d be the 2-top amongst all the Christmas party tables that Danny had to juggle on a Saturday night.

The host stand is 3 steps from the door, and in a crowded room those 3 steps are daunting...yet when you got there, Danny put it all at ease with a smile. Grab a cocktail from Garth at the bar, and your table will be right up...

Most times there we just grab seats at the bar, but for those special occasions when I’d drop a bottle of wine or champagne off a few hours early for a special night...Danny always delivered. May he RIP

thanks everyone

I didn’t know Danny that well, only saw him a couple times a year, but he was a legend at Bayona and then especially at Clancy’s. One of the good guys and it’s quite a loss to everyone who was close to him.

I've eaten at hundreds of restaurants in New Orleans, but I'll always have a special place in my heart for Clancy's, since it was my very first restaurant introduction to New Orleans.
